I'm not eager to see Rooker traded but 3B is and has been extremely problematic for the A's since they traded Chapman. There are few internal options to address the position going forward and Martinez becomes the instant front runner with his addition. Chourio is the big prize and the key to getting the A's to the table.

I don't see Cleveland taking the deal as is... Do you happen to have a solid lefty reliever prospect? Hentges is out for 25... Cleveland's lefties are all starters... Command over velocity types in the minors. I would like to find another plus fastball, plus extension lefty... Also I am sure Cleveland wants the Naylor brother as well 🤣
The A's are auditioning LHRPs now. The front runner is Hogan Harris, who gave up the game winning bomb to Andrew Benintendi last night.
Cleveland would likely try to get Naylor and a LHRP back in the deal, and I think Rooker plus those two would make it something Cleveland would at least have to think about... Cleveland wants extension and velo from relief arms...
The southpaw you seek does not reside within the Athletics' organization. Their two best lefties are FAs this winter and the guy that might even resemble your specifications (Muller) got DFA'd once this year and is likely to get his release in November.
