2Wow JSK! I can't believe that you're getting no love for this proposal. I'm a Cleveland fan so I have no dog in this fight, but if I was either a Mets' or an A's fan I'd give you a thumbs up. Mets would get a great 3B and the A's would be getting a very good, young, inexpensive 1B and a damn good 3B prospect that could be ready by 2022. Olsen is capable of playing a corner OF or rotating DH/1B with Alonso. The A's could also capitalize on Olsen's value in a trade if they wanted to.
I suspect it's because it's not a good fit for the A's, who are clearly contending this year, so they're not trading Chapman, nor do they need a 1B.
