Brewers say no thanks. They are not going to give up 6 years of control for an expensive rental. Hernandez is going to make $13+M, way to expensive for Milwaukee.
From what I’m seeing Hernandez is going to get around $14M in his last year of arby. That would make him the Brewers’ second highest paid player. At a time where the Brewers can’t afford to extend some of their own arby guys, I can’t see any way Milwaukee would pay that for a one-and-done player, especially an outfielder. The Mariners just got Hernandez so I doubt they would move him for a prospect.
