Yeah, if the Braves are assuming all the money, that's a big overpay for them, and a great deal for Farhan.
It’s a minor deal relative to many others but this has to be one of the more shocking looking trades in this system. Perhaps the Braves have higher expectations
I think that's right. If you look at any major projection system, you'll see the value of that expected production doesn't come close to matching the salary he's owed. The only thing that makes sense is that the Braves chose to upgrade their bullpen by paying monetary capital instead of prospect capital -- and a bit too much of it at that, but that's their right.
