4Curious to see what folks think of this proposed trade- especially looking at it over the next 4-5 years
I don't think there's any chance the Rays want to swap a pitcher they see further upside in and who they have under contract for 5 years, for a pitcher they have no connection to and who has 2 fewer years of control.
Thanks for your input. I should have been more specific in my request for comment. I totally understand the contract status as TB just tied up Springs for 5 years (as you mentioned). I am looking at pure expected return from each pitcher without contracts being relevant to the comparison. Thanks
I don't understand. Are you asking who the better pitcher will be this year or over the next 3 years, or something else? I know May is supposed to have TOR potential, but the dude hasn't done much in the Majors yet. I'll take Springs straight up.
