Cabrera's shoulder us barking... why would you trade Sears to acquire him?

The values were adjusted to reflect that and I think Cabrera's a good target for the A's to turn into a TOR pitcher. Plus it's more Cabrera and Milbrandt for Sears. Was also tempted to put M. Meyer alone for Sears given the similar value but decided the Marlins wouldn't go for that.

I disagree that Cabrera has TOR potential. I think he's a #3 and Sears is a #4; the upgrade isn't worth the risk if his shoulder is acting up. Maybe Blackburn/Milbrandt could work?

That was meant to be more along the lines of TOCAR(Top Of Current A's Rotation). So #3 on more than a few teams and #6-#8 on the Dodgers/Rangers. Do you think Blackburn won't able to stay healthy till the trade deadline? Cause that's the only reason I'd see for trading him before then. If the A's held onto him until the 2025 deadline I wouldn't blame them given his talent and affordability though I'd prefer they take the best offer at this years break. Milbrandt could certainly skyrocket in the next few months so it may make sense but I'd be willing to take that chance.
