Pete Alonso? Can anyone say Chris Davis?? Prediction: Soto pulls an Ohtani in the offseason. Alonso pulls a Matt Chapman, and will be known as the "Boras One." He may get my this year's Jody Reed Award (Remember the backup infielder who turned down 2 mil, or whatever it was, back in the day from the Dodgers. Back when a million was still enough to retire on. Ended up signed for something like $600,000. ). Turned down $157 million. What a knucklehead! Second prediction: If Astros make this deal (which they won't) Alonso winds up fighting Jose Abreu for playing time with the Space Cowboys. Haha!
