Blue Jays say let’s talk in 6 weeks, Dodgers agree……groundwork has been laid.

DePaula is probably the one Dodger prospect I wouldn't trade, certainly not for Bichette who only has 1.5 years of control remaining. Also, the Dodgers have no need for starting pitching now. They have 5 starters plus Miller and Kershaw on the way back, so Kikuchi is a wasted addition.

Do you feel the Dodgers have enough pitching to get through the season and have the SP they want for the post season? Assuming everyone is back healthy and pitching well who do you think the top 3 SP for the post season will be?

I like Josue De Paula hit and power combo and agree that the Dodgers should hold on to him, I’d love to get him into the Red Sox organization, I think in 10 years Josue De Paula might already have 200 home runs.

You seem to know a lot about a Dodger prospect considering your a Sox fan. Always happy to exchange ideas with a knowledgeable fan. We've already given you Dugie, Wong and Downs and you've signed Kenley, Kike and Chris Martin so you've had a bunch of our guys and I'm sure I'm missing a few. Actually Eovaldi, who gave you some nice years, was originally a Dodger also. Martin was great for us when we had him and I was sorry to hear about his problems with anxiety. Hopefully that doesn't lay him up for too long. I'd love to get him back to LA some day.

Yes, barring unforeseen catastrophic injuries, I think the Dodgers have plenty of starting pitching to get through the season. If I had to pick the top 3 SP for the post season today, I would definitely go with Glasnow, Yamamoto and Stone, all of whom have pitched very well. Buehler is still working his way back into prime shape but could easily be back to normal Buehler by September and then we also have Bobby Miller, due back in the next couple of weeks and Clayton Kershaw due back by the All Star break or sooner. Paxton, up until his last start has also pitched fairly well, but I'm not counting on him to contribute too much as the season goes on. As a matter of fact, if I were running the front office, I'd try to see what I could get for him in a trade at the deadline.

Things sure can change quickly; The Dodgers announced this afternoon that they’ve placed right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the 15-day injured list with triceps tightness. The club also placed right-hander Michael Grove on the 15-day injured list due to lat tightness. Mookie looks hurt…oh, oh

We still don't need Kikuchi. We're bringing Koufax out of retirement. :)
