3I'm not a fan of either position player, but Cabrera is intriguing enough to possibly get the deal done for Fairbanks. If not, I suspect the Rays would be interested if one or both position players were swapped out for one or both of E.Castellano (not included in BTV) and/or B.Rincon.
I'd definitely still do it of the Phillies with those swaps. Cabrera is definitely the most undervalued piece in the deal. Just have a feeling it's gonna take a Burkholder/Chace level prospect to get the trade done, which I would probably not be comfortable with for half a year of Fairbanks.
Burkholder would be an unreasonable ask in my opinion. Chace might be a different story. Also, Fairbanks has a $7 million team option for 2026 that he is playing his way into a team exercising.
