8Palencia feels like he's on the cusp. Throws an easy 102 mph. His command is much better this year. But Clase is a proven closer, just what Cubs need. I was really hoping Cubs would sign Kelly. He's been outstanding on both sides of the plate and is locked up for next year on an affordable contract. But Cubs have Amaya and Ballesteros. Neely throws hard. Seems like a fair deal to me. What say you, Sports Coach, if you're out there?
Carson Kelly just drew his 21st walk against 13 strikeouts , plus another base hit since I posted this. Maybe his FV should be 60.
I can tell you this... Cleveland doesnt have Hedges available, he's one of their team captains and they aren't trading him. He's more likely to be extended than traded. He was brought in for that specific reason. Now, you can get Dom Nunez, who has MLB experience but not Hedges. When it comes to Clase... i doubt they would take any deal if Horton isn't in it. I am not even saying that to be an A hole, I'm saying that because Cleveland has a legit chance to get into the playoffs and having a lights out type in innings 7 through 9 so they want that overpay or not even discussing even if they discuss...
Hedges untouchable? Now you are pulling my leg!
It sounds super funny, but a very frugal team spent 4 million to resign him when there was way better available catchers offensively available. He is literally the captain of the team... You don't trade your captain in a playoff hunt season especially when he isn't worth anything in a deal...
SC wants 50-60 for Clase, Shaw & Horton? 💁🏼♀️ https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/trades/188168
I don’t think so. Horton pitched a solid 5 today, first major league start. Wind blowing out at Wrigley. Shaw, 2 homers last night, hitting .284 at Iowa.
Not gonna lie, Cleveland is gonna be like I want Horton plus X, Y and Z and if the Cubs don't even put Horton in the offer they will be like nope! They will have the price so stupidly high that if someone actually takes it, Cleveland will plus in wins after the trade...
