Unless the Rays feel Koch would make a good reliever, I don’t see this trade making much sense for the Rays. Koch isn’t likely to be seen as one of the Rays best 5 pitchers.

Totally get that. I would really like to see mead on the angels but not really sure we have anything the rays need
Angels have pieces the Rays would surely be interested in (e.g., Detmers), but they would be more complicated trades. Mead seems to be finding his grove too, so the Rays may not be interested in trading him at all (though I suspect they would for the right return).
