Rays need help in the Pen and could benefit from an outfielder who hits LHP well. Bird is going to be in high demand this year, so to get him the Rays part with former top 50 prospect C.Mead who is starting to round into shape, pitching prospect Nichols who is on track to reach the Show next year and CFer Misner. Rockies benefit immediately from the addition of Mead and long term via Misner and Nichols. Misner and Doyle are interesting in that they are both good in the field and carry suspect bats. Doyle is hitting LHP well, and that’s what the Rays need right now, but in the long run Doyle might become their everyday CFer. Misner started the year off hot but pitchers caught up to him and he hasn’t made the adjustments. He needs to step back and examine his game but I think he can find his early season magic again. He might be a step back in the field from prime Doyle (but not by much), but Misner’s bat should be better than Doyle’s is long-term.
