I hate the idea of moving Duran, but would love to see the Red Sox target Mitch Keller. He’s so underrated, IMO. Just turned 29 and signed thru the 2028 season with a $15.4M AAV. Speier would be a solid add to the bullpen. I’d have no problem with the Sox adding more to get this deal done, even if it takes an over pay. Seattle needs offense. Ford, Arroyo and Speier is a very reasonable price to pay for 3.5 years of Duran. Not enough for Keller, IMO. Starting Pitching won’t come cheap. The Pirates need to get back a major league ready starter like Hunter Dobbins or Richard Fitts along with the prospects from Seattle. BTV says it’s a major overpay but still acceptable.
