3This wouldn't even get Cleveland to the table... They are planning on the playoffs and this deal minus them in wins for 26... If they weren't trying to compete, they take it
I gotcha. I just didn’t know if Cleveland had interest in getting even more SP depth. Understand the Gaddis piece from your perspective. With Clase gone he is needed alongside Smith and Herrin right? If we don’t resign Belli (unlikely)or sign Tucker (very unlikely) I like A. Martinez in a platoon role in LF w/Dominguez. Would you go straight up Lalane and Hess for Martinez? I know that the Guardians have a lot of versatile utility guys right. So is he expendable?

Gaddis is a mainstay and isn't expendable... Martinez on the other hand is available for the right price since he is a depth piece going into 26, but with Cleveland already having more pitchers than position players on their 40 man roster, I think they will be hesitant to move him... Plus he hits lefties well, with lefty hitting heavy organization, having someone to hit lefties is important. I just cannot project what they would want for him...
