1I would be shocked if the Rays traded T.Johnson period, let alone for this navel lint value that comes from prospect evaluators refusing to accept Johnson won’t be a reliever in the Show. He was the Rays best starting pitching prospect last year in AA. He’s very very good and far better than a $2.6MM valuation. As for a Yandy for Koenig trade, that’s an easy no. Rays pitching should be pretty good in 2026 but the offense will be hard to find. Yandy is one of the Rays few proven bats. If they trade him it’s a full on admission the season is over. That’s actually fine, as it’s going to be a long season either way, but a Yandy trade needs a top prospect coming back to the Rays, not someone whose clock has started.
