Want to see what a player’s future trade value will be? Or estimate his free agent or extension contract? You can play around with all kinds of scenarios here if you’re a GM-level subscriber.
Click on the tabs for each scenario. Here's a video showing how the future trade value tab works. And for free agents and extension candidates, use the dropdown to see how the contract would vary by changing the number of years.
Front Office-level subscribers and above can also see a history of past and present trade values. We also visually display our calculations, so you can see the surplus-value gap between field value and salary in each scenario (except for prospects, who have only implied surplus value). And there's a special subscriber-only comment section below each player's data, so you can have an exclusive conversation with other subscribers.
To give you an idea how it works, we’ll always show a featured player for free.

I think with Soto and Ohtani in the A.L.East LH Pitching might just become a priority for teams in the East. I’m liking Montgomery to the Red Sox more and more

I guess I thought Ohtani was going to the Blue Jays when I posted that. Oh well, I still like Montgomery to the Red Sox but really doubt that penny pinching ownership will allow the expensive acquisition without forcing Breslow to move other salary. With that in mind I’m still hoping for a Montgomery signing and think it will look something like; Breslow signs LH SP Jordan Montgomery to a 4 year $120m guaranteed deal paying him $27.5m in ‘24, $27.5m in ‘25 after which Montgomery has an opt out if he’d like or he can take $27.5m in ‘26 and take $27.5m in ‘27. The club has an option for $27.5m in ‘28 or a $10m buy out and a club option for $27.5m in ‘29 or $5m buy out. Making it a 2yr deal for $55m if were to opt out or a 4yr deal worth $120m if the club were to turn down the option or a 5yr deal worth $142.5m if the team pick up the first option and declined the second option or a 6 year deal worth $165m.
