My issue is including Barnes. He’s one of the more productive arms in a Boston bullpen already needing reinforcement. With two years control and a $3 MM price tag in 2020 the Red Sox have even less incentive to deal him than they think do in Betts.

I'd deal Barnes for Lopez. I'd like Barnes better f he was not so awful on back to back days.

As a White Sox fan, I'd love Betts on my squad but just don't see them including Madrigal in a deal for just one year of him (considering they were just 72-89 this year) -- especially since it seems that Betts appears gung-ho to eschew an extension in favor of free agency.
