1Ben Joyce is a reliever, not a starter. He had a 5.40 ERA this season but that was from a bloop outing against Oakland. He's much more worth than 2.9, constantly throws above 100 mph, and is a better reliever than Scott Barlow though he did have a strong finish. If it was to get to a Sandoval for Soto trade, the Angels would certainly not do that as Soto has just 1 year remaining while Sandoval is a good starter that the Angels need.
