One year of Burnes for the oscillating performance of Duran and the hit tool of prospect 2B/1B Nick Yorke was recommended by Patrick McAvoy of FanNation. The new GM will want to win fast; Burnes's ground balls would help his ERA because of the long grass at Fenway; the return is substantial but the farm system Bloom built could absorb it. For a pundit-suggested trade, this one is close to balanced.

Obviously McAvoy didn't bother to investigate the Brewers before he wrote the article. The absolute last thing Milwaukee wants or needs is outfielders. They have 3 former top 100 OFs, Yelich, Taylor, and the #3 prospect in baseball going into AAA and he too is an outfielder. They also have their minor league player of the year, 2B/1B Black, coming up soon. When the Brewers trade Burnes they need pitching, not Yorke and Duran.

Good comment! I think that McAvoy might be looking at a Chourio/Frelick/Duran OF for five years, and that Yorke projects as a better bat than Turang, who could play SS instead. But you have a solid point.

I agree with the above. If MIL trades Adames, then Yorke could work. I don't see MIL wanting OFs. The idea appears balanced, but MIL needs pitching.
