3Wouldn't the Pirates want a SP with more years of control?
Ideally yes. However, I'm not sure they would be willing to part with the prospects necessary to get a reliable starter that's controllable for 4-5 years. I see one or two of Peguero/Bae/Gonzales/Triolo as the most likely trade chips, if they do decide to trade for a starting pitcher in the offseason. If they only decide to trade one of that group, I think someone like Blackburn is what they'd end up with.
