4Real trade. Moderate overpay, fits Dombrowski's typical M.O.
I understand that with the interest for Lorenzen whoever got him would probably overpay a bit, but I wish the Phillies could’ve held onto Lee. Promising young 2B prospect and really nice international signing. With Lorenzen I could see a 6-man rotation in Philly for a bit or, depending on his performance, see Ranger Suarez drop into the bullpen like we’ve seen him do over the past two years.
Dombrowski is a stud GM bro flat out killer. Great trade!
I liked Lee too but facts are he plays second base the same position 25 year old Bryson Stott plays and honestly Lorenzen's value here is low because he's a rental but I don't think the Phillies necessarily see him as a rental they might look to resign him so this is kind of an audition and tbh Lee hasn't improved at the rate I would have liked to see this season. Rotation is nasty now and the Phillies are even more dangerous in a playoff series which we already were a threat to ANY team in a playoff series! We're good man! Another move to come most likely!
