I'm approaching with this proposal favoring the Braves and I follow the O's and Cubs much less. I'm also pretending that the Cubs are sellers. I don't believe that they are or will be. Go Cubs go! In this trade, the Braves get Cody Bellinger to play LF. I'd rather see the Braves trade for an innings-eater at the back end of the starting rotation, but I sure do have a thing for Bellinger and he could provide a lot of help where I think the Braves could use it. Eddie Rosario and Marcell Ozuna are not good in July. One of them is a .179 Batting Average in July, the other is a .173. This is, admittedly, a smaller sample size, and a cherry-picked statistic. The Braves' offense keeps rolling but if Rosario & Ozuna are below average at the plate and do little to nothing in the field. To get Bellinger, the Braves trade away Vaughn Grissom and Huascar Ynoa. For the Cubs, they move Marcus Stroman and Cody Bellinger, both on expiring contracts. Remember, I'm pretending that they're sellers at the Deadline. The Cubs get back Jordan Westburg from the Baltimare Orioles and Ynoa from the Braves. Ynoa's been hurt this year but he's shown potential in past seasons. I think Jordan Westburg could be a great 3B and is ready for the Majors. I don't see Patrick Wisdom as the future for the Cubbies. For the O's, they get Stroman. They lose Westburg but add Grissom. Maybe Grissom's better for them. They get Keegan Thompson too, who maybe can be good. Is he a "change of scenery "sort of guy?
