Rumors are starting to fly that the Rays are honing in on Lance Lynn, so I'm looking at what it would take to get him. Long story short, it shouldn't be much. The White Sox shouldn't take a negative asset for a negative one, but the Rays (or any team for that matter) shouldn't have to give much to get Lynn. Austin Shenton is having a nice year and is Rule 5 eligible, so given that he's blocked in Tampa, he makes sense as someone to move. There are alternatives if the White Sox prefer another position, but Lynn is the type of rental that shouldn't cost more than an interesting player caught in an upcoming roster crunch.
