Right off the bat I will tell you that this will absolutely never happen in a million years. The Angels went all in this year and traded away a huge chunk of their farm system to make a run with Trout + Otani. They failed. They need a restock. Cleveland has to consolidate their roster because they have too many minor league players on or ready for the 40 man. The Angels kick $Texas to buy 5 prospects/young ML players, several of whom have recently shown up on Top 100 prospect lists. Cleveland ends up paying the remaining 62M on Trout's contract. With a competent medical staff maybe he can play 120 games a year in a corner outfield and continue hit. Morally and ethically speaking I would feel bad about consigning these Guardians prospects to the purgatory of the Angels organization, but business is business and Trout's worst non-rookie year blows any current Guardians OFer out of the water.
