This is an interesting trade. Let me try to break down as I see it. Verdugo for Canha. I like Verdugo's lefty bat in Fenway better and I like his upside more. It's close for me on this swap but I'd rather not. I don't know where the Mets are going to have room in the rotation for both Paxton and Sale. And that's a lot of money. This is the dealbreaker for me. It's cute to have Nogosek added. I like him. I think I remember that I had him on my list of cool Boston prospects. I think maybe he was in Greenville. I liked him this past year when he was called up. This site has him as 0 value. He's not 0 value. He's a Major Leaguer. Not giving him up unless I have to. I have no interest in Darin Ruf as the Sox. Keep that and keep the trade more even as per this site. For the Red Sox, I'm cool with how the 1B and DH spots are lined up. I like Dalbec over Ruf coming off the bench and it's "Casas or bust" for me, at least for the first half. It's a trade idea to consider but it has nothing to keep me around for more. I'm lazy and not looking at how the contracts project out but I figure money's not any concern for the Mets if they believe in Chris Sale. So is there more to this that I'm not taking into account?
