Lack of pitching coming back to the Brewers kills this before it gets started. Even if Milwaukee was giving up and tanking, they could do much, much better for Burnes.

Agreed. Swap out Arraez with Ryan.

Spikes

Why would you want to leave Arraez out of the trade? Having him at the top of the Brewers lineup would make the Brewer lineup so much better. In fact, I think if the Brewers would trade Burnes to the Twins, Arraez would be one of the first players the Brewers would insist on. I'm all for including Joe Ryan in a trade for Burnes but that doesn't make much sense for the Twins. I'm sure if they are trading for Burnes to improve their pitching, they are not going to give up their top of the rotation pitcher. I agree this more pitching is desirable so maybe adding Ober instead of Prielipp would be more immediate help and possibly feasible for the Twins. But to be fair to the Twins, Ober is also a big ask. Maybe the Brewers already have the additional pitcher they need when they signed Miley and Woods-Richardson isn't a bad addition.
