2-A's get 3 big leaguers with team control + a solid prospect -Brewers get the bats they need to be true contenders -Yankees get a long term solution at SS + rotation depth
A's get an SP to replace Bassitt. That's nice at least. This isn't: an expensive Yankee Super 2 Arbitration castoff named Torres they don't want and who won't be around when their next contention window opens (or be re-signed or QO'd), and the chance to pay Zach Britton (and his newly repaired as of early September UCL) $14M to not pitch for them on a 1-year expiring contract. Nah, that pretty much negates Volpe. Seriously, did you forget Britton had had TJS?
