Rockies in this scenario are seeing sense and realising they aren't winning anything in the next year or two while they are still weighed down by bad contracts, so let go the guys who will expire in those two years, while getting a ton of pitching prospects back. Braves improve their SS and get a front end starter, while the Reds also improve their SS without having to pay a big salary.
