This makes sense if the Red Sox decide not to pursue a more coveted starter, though they have limited prospect capital which would make that difficult. They get a 5th starter and a loogy. Royals get a second division 1st baseman who bats the opposite handedness of O'Hearn. I could see a Travis - O'Hearn platoon working. Throw in a rule 5 eligible lottery ticket and I like this for both teams.
