I don't see this trade happening. The Indians acquired Daniel Johnson from the Nationals in the off season as a potential piece of their outfield picture. I would think that they tried Johnson themselves first before trading him especially for a rental.

Interesting, as I was thinking that Civale may be the unrealistic piece in this trade as he recently debuted and pitched rather well. The other name, instead of Johnson, I considered was Will Benson. The Pirates are a bit light organizational power, and a player that has the raw power like Benson could be enticing. I think he's more of a project than Johnson, so perhaps Cleveland would be amenable.
