LOL... Talk about a bad trade for the Rays. Howard is a defensive SS with no bat. Either Franco returns and SS is set for the next decade, or Franco doesn't return and the Rays transition SS from T.Walls to C.Williams in the next 12-18 months. There's no reason to bring in someone like Howard who doesn't fill an immediate or long term need. Wisdom isn't an awful player, but he loses out to a numbers game. I can't figure out a way to put him on the Rays' active roster. He's not get playing time over guys like Y.Diaz, I.Paredes, L.Raley, H.Ramirez, and top prospects J.Caminero, C.Mead, J.Aranda, and A.Shenton. I like Ferris well enough, but the rest of this trade is a non-starter for the Rays. Rays need pitching, and if they're trading Glasnow, I expect them to bring in high upside pitching in any trade. For the Cubs, that probably means Ben Brown at the very least.
