-all five guys are ML ready or near ML ready.. NOW..
Why would the Cubs want Freeman when they have Hoerner and Madrigal... He doesn't make any sense for them... Plus Alcantara is a late 24, early 25 ETA... He won't be in the bigs out of spring...
Because Freeman can and has played 3B.. because Freeman is touted (and deserving) to be a hit first/contact oriented batter.. Alcantara is on the ML roster and is playing in the Arizona Fall League.. He's near ML ready right now.. that is not in dispute.. Your timeline is f'ked... All of these things.. you already know.. Being in the big leagues out of Spring Training is NOT A REQUIREMENT for any near ML ready prospect. Many dont' make the club out of ST as there are reasons for service time manipulation and longevity with a small/middle market club... any idiot already knows that, too...
