Cleveland would hang up if offered this one... Espino is still a top 100 prospect and they are extremely high on him. They would do Bieber plus a mid tier prospect for Soto if that... They love his bat, but he's just too much money for one season.

Probably. They didn't seem to be interested in trying to win last year. On the other hand, its a 1-year deal with draft pick compensation afterward so any team could afford it, sell a few more tickets and jerseys, their division is weak, their OF is terrible, they have regularly developed good pitching from lesser-rated prospects, so it seems like a good fit.
