2Building on Rob Bradford's Verdugo-for-Torres idea, this adds two minor league players with real potential who might develop better with the Yankees. In return, the Red Sox get a little payroll relief, half of the extra $6 million Torres will earn over Verdugo. With these changes, the deal is exactly even.
Any trade the Red Sox make will include Brainer Bonaci who was placed on the Restricted List on 10/12 for violating the joint domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse policy and want out of the organization. If the Yankees want Verdugo it’s going to be Verdugo and Bonaci for Torres & cash considerations or a PTBNL
