2As a Braves fan, I'd love this trade. Lock up LF hole for the next 3 years (extension, anyone?), at the expense of Grissom, who is trade bait at this point, and Elder, which still leaves Strider, Fried, Morton, plus whatever FA they can pick up (Montgomery? Yamamoto?), and the ever-revolving door of AAAA options for the 5th spot. Maybe even another FA like Montas, Severino, etc.
Rays say no. Grissom has no spot on the Rays' roster. Not sure if Elder would interest the Rays either. Like the Rays' own Bradley, his 2023 started hot and ended cold. What that means for Elder I couldn't say.
