2The Brewers don't want a position player as the major part of a trade for Burnes. Vasil (5.30 ERA/1.49 WHIP/5BBs per 9 at AAA), Sproat was just drafted and no help for years, Tidwell hasn't seen AAA yet and he too walks 5/9 IPs. Not nearly close to the pitching the Brewers would need for Burnes. Reports from Milwaukee says they are trying to extend Adames so Mauicio wouldn't be needed.
The Mets would not be interested in trading so many prospects as well as recently drafted players for 2024. Simply not happening. Even if they would be interested in trading for Burnes, it would be more quality than quantity.
