I think the program is overvaluing Chas McCormick and undervaluing Jasson Dominguez. But there's at least potential for an intriguing 3-way blockbuster that benefits everyone. McCormick would be a great fit with the Yankees, he has the range to patrol their cavernous left field and his opposite-field stroke plays very well with the short porch in right, as we've already seen. Moncada gives the Yankees a high-ceiling stopgap at 3B, and Kopech fills an open back of the rotation spot with potential for upside. Meyers gives them a great defensive 4th OF who is capable of hitting lefties well. Would make a good platoon partner for Kiermaier if the Yankees were to sign him. Cease and Robert fill obvious needs for the Astros, taking their last big swing of the current championship window. Higashioka fills their vacant backup catcher role with a respected veteran. White Sox come away with an elite defensive SS who has shown flashes of talent at the plate, a future franchise 5-tool CF, and 2 potential top of the rotation starters.
