Kilian (FV 45) has been an inning eater at AAA, but did struggle with a low sample size in the MLB in 2023. He's ready to start in 2024 and costs league minimum with 6 years of team control. He will most likely out perform either Megill or Butto, so it will be an upgrade. This will unload 21M from the Mets payroll and gives them a chance to dip below the luxury tax to reset, because right now, they're pretty much paying any new free agent signing double, with half going to the lux tax.
