Sammy Peralta, RP had the 19th best xBA and 6th best xSLG against his sweeper this season. Gavin sheets had an .830 OPS in 2021, .706 OPS in 2022, but dipped all the way down to .598 OPS in 2023. Advanced numbers were not great besides for whiff and K %. This trade is somewhat assuming that the Yankees trade for Soto and include Rizzo in that deal. Sheets is another lefty who can play first. Sheets is basically just a throw in as a guy who maybe needs a change of scenery and frees up a 40 man spot for the White Sox to give another guy a shot. Josh Breaux was very good offensively at catcher in AA last year and had an .851 OPS in 12 games at AAA, but he feels blocked by Austin Wells. Florial obviously has potential, but again with the Yankees most likely bringing in a lefty outfield bat, Florial needs to be traded so he can actually get a fair shot in the majors.
