More players involved than easily disseminated. Seems like there is merit to each get. Clase obviously headliner. Suarez nice return but light...hence the back and forth. Always Cleveland inexpensivity considered.
Cleveland may be listening on Emmanuel Clase, but they would have to be overwhelmed to move him. This is not overwhelming in my opinion.
I seriously doubt Cleveland would allow Straw's lack of value to decimate Clase and Bieber's.
BigBat, I think I understand your point. I feel like Cleveland could dump Straw for Rojas in the trade. Otherwise Cleveland is stuck with repeating ' we prioritize defense' . Rojas similar, younger, cheaper. I think I would take Suarez (or Sanchez) for Bieber, longer term. Despite name recognition, Beiber not better going forward. Clase, the issue, becomes conduit for 2 young MLB ready pitchers for roster and RH lottery ticket. Its a lot, agreed, but surplus from starter exchange cover some/most/all of it. Not overwhelming but close to fair trade in my opinion. I understand Cleveland wants overwhelming return.
