Expanded on MP's deal. Maybe McKay can DH. Is he still around?
Sounds like McKay still has one good arm. Why don't they turn him around and teach him to throw right-handed? Speaking of Tommy John, my guess his name comes up more than any other baseball player in print and conversation, even over the Babe and Ohtani. Speaking of Ohtani, what's he waiting for? I thought he didn't care about money. That's the hype the dumb sportswriters throw around. What is it he still doesn't know about the clubs that are in contention for his services? Any expenditure of $600 mil, or whatever the final figure, is a waste of baseball dollars. Maybe the owner recoups the money elsewhere, but it will eventually put the team in a position where it has to cut salary or lose draft picks. Prediction: Ohtani becomes the new Brendan McKay. TJ, TOS, tonsillitis, etc.

LOL... Yeah, McKay's still around. He's undergone shoulder surgery, TOS and then TJS between 2020 and 2022. He's basically the bionic man at this point. He should be pitching again by ST though. He signed a 2 year minor league deal with the Rays that runs through 2024. At this point, I'm just hopeful for his sake that he's able to salvage some sort of career. He will never be a starter again.
