I would trade out Wesneski for Collier, if Cleveland squawks. 18 year with .349 OBP against players 3 yrs. older in A ball. I like him better now than when he was drafted. Some had him at #1 going into 2022 draft.
Why would Cleveland trade 40% of their starting rotation when their MLB ready pitching depth is shallow? Why would Cleveland want a 3B when they have Jose Ramirez long term? Why would the small market Guardians trade their comp pick when they survive on the draft as they can't play much on the free agent market? Then I looked up and saw that Benjo proposed this, and it made sense. Cleveland says no.
Easy no for Cleveland as this isn't nearly enough for both Allen and Bieber. Fairly certain that Cleveland isn't going to deal Allen without making the rotation better and deeper. This deal does nothing of the sort, but boy the Cubs sure do get better don't they?
I really doubt Cleveland would even think about this one... Plus it's possible they would want Stephanson as well...
