6Could be sneaky good if the Guardians end up losing Clase. Not certain that Wiemer is the OF answer, but neither is anyone else on the roster at the moment.
Cleveland traded for Manzardo for a reason. I don't see him getting moved. He displays some power which Cleveland desperately needs.
Manzardo not only has the power upside that Cleveland needs(as does Weimer), but more importantly Manzardo has the bat to ball skills and plate discipline Cleveland prefers. I can't envision Manzardo going anywhere at this time.
Understood from that perspective BUT why did TB let him go for so little(Civale) ? Yandy now 31/32years old. It makes no sense on surface. Yandy also has cost $$. Maybe TB was desperate ??...maybe, but they don't seem to make rash decisions on prospects. I am suspicious or distrusting or skeptical, yes, thats a good word. I am skeptical about Manzardo. I also think Cleveland has 1B covered with LH already and want DH to keep as floater position. Hard to acquire RH OF with power that does not get paid much in deal for even less.
Civale is a well above average ML pitcher with yrs of inexpensive control. They have Yandy at 1B and they needed SP at the time. Your suspicion isn't warranted and they basically gave up something valuable for which was depth for a MOR SP.

Weimer displays some power also. RH power. Plays OF. LHP helps bullpen. Cleveland has LH 1B player with power already. Connect Civale for those two from Brewers. Might seem more palatable. Like a delayed 3-team trade
