The Marlins have said they need to add offense and are in the market for a catcher. They've also said they're willing to trade Luzardo. The Twins need a LH starting pitcher and someone who would replace Sonny Gray in the rotation. The Twins and Marlins have hooked up for a successful trade for each team before in the Lopez for Arraez deal. Marlins get an offensive catcher and Polanco to start at 2B. Instant upgrade to their offense at 2 positions. They also get a very talented OF prospect that the Twins are very high on and hate to part with and a pitcher to balance trading 2 away. Winder could help in the bullpen and spot start if needed. The Twins get that #2 SP to go with Lopez who as a bonus is LH and controllable for the next three years. They also get a lottery pick in the oft-injured Sanchez who has electric stuff but can't stay healthy.
