Real trade, minor overpay. Cardinals basically put out a "for sale, best offer" sign so not surprising.

I don’t love or hate O’Neill but I do love the acquisition cost 👍. For the Cardinals Robertson should be able to help out of the pen and he still has 2 options. The 23yr old Santos probably has a ceiling of an emergency up-and-down depth arm and is rule 5 eligible next December. He missed the 2023 season due to injury. I’m trying to be patient with Breslow but I’m tired of the team playing around with the edges of the roster and injured players. I’m really hoping this trend Breslow is on doesn’t continue. There’s a familiar bloom in air.

I love this trade for the Red Sox. They gave up next to nothing. O'Neil's numbers should improve in Fenway, so he will probably increase his value. The short-term nature of O'Neil is a little confusing to me. Roman Anthony and Bleis are probably more than one year away. The cost of free agents outfielders high?

I’m sure his numbers will improve, but will he actually stay on the field?

Cleveland fans aren't surprised about what the Cards got for O'Neill.. We felt he was rated too high on here for awhile now...

I’m fine with this as a Cards fan. Robertson is legitimately interesting, especially since he developed his sweeper last season
