2Mariners get an MLB starting LF in Duran and 2B in Valdez. Both under team control for a while. Houck can go into the bullpen and fill a bulk role and/or start in a pinch if there are any injuries--also has team control. Walter gives them more pitching depth. Red Sox get their frontline SP that they desperately need and also clear out some more LHH OF
