Poor trade Marlins,Parades is not going to beat out current 3B Jake Burger.

Paredes can play multiple positions, so this trade isn't just about 3B, but to say Paredes won't beat out Burger is ridiculous. Since joining the Rays, Paredes has hit 116 wRC+ and delivered 2.4 fWAR (over just 381 PAs) in 2022, and 137 wRC+ and 4.3 fWAR in 2023. On the other hand, Burger has delivered 112 wRC+ and 0.3 fWAR (over just 183 PAs) and 120 wRC+ and 2.5 fWAR in 2023. They both had breakout years in 2023, but Paredes has been the better player the past 2 years. Rays ain't doing this trade though, so it doesn't really matter.
