3Brewers pass. They would rather have Yelich than Ray and definitely would rather have Black than another outfielder or Arroyo.
Ray is out most if not all the 2024 season. Milwaukee wouldn't pay Burnes not to pitch, so they are definitely not going to pay Ray $23M not to pitch. Brewers don't want an 18 yr. old maybe or another OF. Nothing at all here for Milwaukee.
The difference is that Ray should pitch this year, and they get out of the Yellich contract. Clase just had a 20/70 season, so not just another OF. Arroyo has been compared Howie Kendrick.
