2Would make sense for O's in getting a front line starter with 4 years of control. Lose a ton of experience and clutch hitting in Mullins and Santander. Mullins could play LF in Seattle, Santander DH/RF/1B, Westburg 3B/2B. Don't know if a Mariner's fan would agree though.
I think if Seattle is truly open to the idea of moving Gilbert, this trade makes sense for them. Adding 3 starters including one with the upside of Westburg and all 3 play positions that Seattle currently need to fill. I wouldn't trade Gilbert if I were Seattle, but Dipoto surprises me most offseasons.
