Ludicrous trade. Rays aren't trading their 2 starting COFs (worth over 7.0 fWAR last year and having 8 years of remaining control) for essentially an expensive, unproven SS prospect who doesn't even fill a need unless Franco is banned from baseball. Can folks stop proposing Merrill trades to the Rays? They have less than a snowball's chance of happening. Less than zero, even though that's technically impossible.
